Pezold's General Music Class Update 4/27/11

Students are currently learning about auxiliary percussion instruments, performing a short exercise from a rhythm sheet for a grade on their choice of drum, and getting started on a composition project that involves students writing their own short piece of music and performing either by themselves or in a small group (up to 3 people in a group) in front of class for a grade.

Ms. Pezold's General Music Class

Welcome to the 4th Quarter in Ms. Pezold's General Music Class, which will be mostly focused on percussion instruments.

All students need to have a spiral notebook by Monday, March 28th that can be left in the classroom for daily assignments, and they also need to have a writing utensil every day in class.

Holbrook's Piano Class Update - March 14

This is the LAST week of the quarter! We are finishing up our class recitals and will review for the post-test.  The post test will take place on Wednesday for 8th grade & on Thursday for 7th grade!!!

Ms. Pezold's General Music Class 1/18-1/21

All students in Ms. Pezold's General Music class need to have a spiral notebook for class in order to complete all assignments.  This week we will continue to review basic signs & symbols used in music, and there will be a written quiz on Friday, January 21 on this material.

Ms. Pezold's General Music/Drumming Class

Ms. Pezold will be on medical leave for several weeks, and Mr. Ben Ray will be teaching the General Music/Drumming Class for the interim.  Students will be focused on learning the basic symbols of music and using that knowledge as they learn about and play many different percussion instruments.  Please contact Chrissy Holbrook at Christina.Holbrook@cobbk12.org for questions or concerns about this class.

Welcome to General Music!! Ms. Pezold & Mrs. Holbrook look forward to working with students in General Music.
