Raising Friends and Funds for ECMS
Looking for a way to get involved at East Cobb MS? The ECMS Foundation seeks committed volunteers to help with fundraising events, grant writing and community business sponsorships. We work to raise money for classroom technology such as document cameras and educational software, and for Challenge Day for 7th graders. Contact Beth Day b_day@bellsouth.net or Toi Wilson toi@inthegamemagazine.com, or visit http://ECMSFoundation.org for more about the Foundation’s work.

Classroom Wish List
What do teachers wish for? Check out ECMS Classroom Wish List and choose an item you can help with. These range from first-aid kits to frog dissection software. Can you help with some of these needs for our classrooms?
Change for Change
You raised $561.50 in September, just by bringing pocket change to homeroom. That funds 14 kids for Challenge Day 2012! Save those pennies for the next Change for Change, the week of Oct. 10. http://ecmsfoundation.org/events/

Bowling Fun
Thanks to all of you who made our Fall Bowling Fundraiser a success! Eleven lanes of students, families and teachers packed Brunswick Lanes on Delk Road for a fun afternoon. These parties have raised about $2,000 since last fall.
Your Gift Moves Our School Forward
In backpacks with your child's progress report [last week] was a letter from the East Cobb Middle School Foundation. Please give it a read, and give generously.
This year our Foundation is funding IXL math http://www.ixl.com/ and BrainPOP http://ecmsfoundation.org/work/teachers-love-brainpop/and working on a wish list http://ecmsfoundation.org/classroom-wish-list/ of classroom needs. The Foundation will also be funding ECMS’s 5th Challenge Day http://ecmsfoundation.org/challengeday/ for the 7th-grade class.
You may donate online with PayPal or mail a check. Click here for details. http://ecmsfoundation.org/give/
The East Cobb Middle School Foundation raises funds from the community for resources the county, state and federal government do not provide. Our board volunteers work closely with the ECMS administration, teachers and PTSA.
